Fundraising for
Modern Pilgrims Docu-Series

In June 2023 Lucas Olson and Timothy Kurek will embark on a 500-mile pilgrimage across Northern Spain, the Camino del Norte, exploring the culture of one of Europe’s oldest indigenous peoples, the Euskaldunak (Basques), and highlighting the history of one of Earth's most famous pilgrimages. 

Produced by Developing America and sponsored by the Center for Global Christian Studies, the two pilgrims will walk the earliest (though lesser known) Camino route through the original resting place of St. James, engaging with locals and fellow pilgrims, and asking the questions, "How does the concept of home inform our identities, and why would anyone choose to walk 500 miles across the span of an entire country? 

Right now we need your support to help make this project happen. As a 501c3, all donations are tax deductible, and receipts will be provided within five business days of your donation. In gratitude for your donation, complimentary gifts are also available at four levels of donation:


  1. $1+ (your name will appear in the credits of the docu-series)
  2. $100+ (choose one 4x6" professional print from our photo gallery that we will send you for framing)
  3. $250+ (choose an additional 8.5x11" professional print from our photo gallery that we will send you for framing)
  4. $500+ (receive an additional signed copy of Tim's best-selling book The Cross in the Closet)
